Although her daughter Isabella is "very strong now," Kuh Ledesma admits her separation from husband greatly affected her daughter in the past.

Kuh was married to Luisito "Louie" Gonzalez, the grandson of former President Elpidio Quirino.

Their daughter Isabella Gonzalez is a recording artist.

Kuh revealed Isabella was once diagnosed with bipolar disorder, saying, "Si Isabella, strong siya.

"Pero siguro nung naghiwalay kami, dun siya nagkaroon ng... she had to overcome the pain of us separating: my husband and I.

"Pero she's very strong now."

How did Kuh help her daughter deal with that pain in the past?

"Prayers lang talaga. Saka Bible studies—that really helped a lot.

"And people around us showed us love."

Kuh also stressed the importance of seeking therapy.

She said, "When a child has trauma at hindi nakakatulog, dapat bigyan ng pampatulog and then dapat therapy.

"Therapy na may makakausap, not a parent as much as possible. Dapat someone else, like a counselor."

Kuh gave three pieces of advice for parents who have children diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

She listed, "Number 1, you need to have a relationship with Christ because you need to pray for your anak. Without that relationship, hindi maririnig ang prayers mo. Kahit dasal ka nang dasal, kung hindi mo pa binibigay ang buhay mo, hindi ka papakinggan.

"Secondly, learn as much as you can about bipolar disoder. Hindi naman iyan forever dapat. Walang forever na sakit at lahat nakukuha sa dasal. That's my mother's [advice], pero totoo yun. But you need to understand who God is. Siya yung tutulong sa iyo.

"Thirdly, kailangan may mahihingan ka ng tulong na nakakaintindi sa sakit na iyan, aside sa therapist. Ang psychiatrist, in the beginning only because bibigyan ng gamot sa umpisa, pero sana huwag tambakan.

"Ang gamot na binibigay, dapat makakatulong at makaka-kalma. It does not have to be sobrang dami. Pag nakatulog ang bata, mas magiging sensible.

"Usually kasi nag-uumpisa iyan dahil kulang sa tulog at kulang sa nutrition and because there is trauma most of the time."

Kuh ledesma says NO TO KONTRABIDA ROLE

Meanwhile, Kuh disclosed that she turned down an acting offer, although she did not reveal the title of the teleserye.

The OPM icon narrated, "In-offer sa akin Chinese [na character]. Gusto ko iyon. Marunong mag Tagalog pero kailangan may Chinese accent. Hindi nila nagustuhan.

"Sabi ko huwag na, hindi masyadong interesting. Yun ang aking pangarap, na magkaroon ng ganung role."

She also added, "Sa TV series, mayroong offer, but I always think of my health. Saka yung eye bags ko, nagsu-show na nga eh so kailangan mag-ingat.

"Gusto ko pero at the same time, ayoko ng kontrabida, e. Can you imagine na kontrabida ako? Tapos pupunta ako dun sa mga preso at sa mga schools tapos sasabihin ko, 'Maging mabait kayo.'

"Or pwedeng kontrabida na may magandang ending naman."

kuh's 3:16 concert

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to Kuh at the press conference for her upcoming concert titled 3:16.

The concert's title refers to Kuh’s actual birthdate, March 16, and it will be held this Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan.

Majority of the proceeds from Kuh's 3:16 concert aims to benefit The Holy Bible Giver Foundation Inc or (HBGFI).

Kuh founded this non-profit, non-government organization that aims to distribute copies of the Bible in depressed areas around the country, and conduct healing conferences and inspirational concerts all over the Philippines.

How is this 3:16 concert different from her other concerts in the past?

Kuh said, "I'm choosing a lot of great love songs na positive na actually double meaning. Puwede sa tao, puwede sa Diyos."

When asked to choose a singer that she would love to collaborate with in the future, Kuh pointed out that she would like to do a show with KZ Tandingan.

The Pop Diva explained, "Performer siya, e, at may drama siya. Ma-drama rin ako, e."

She then added with a smile, "Hindi na ako nagda-drama. Hindi na ako nagma-manipulate. Dati, kung hindi mo pa kilala ang Diyos, you kinda manipulate things around. Ang babae kasi manipulator iyan, controller. Yung paiyak-iyak ba, ganyan.

"Pero now I love putting drama in songs."
