Mamuka areshidze biography definition

In fact, Khajimba's days are numbered – nothing special is changing for Georgia, the main thing is what kind of plan do we have in order to change the situation in Abkhazia, Mamuka Areshidze, a political scientist, told InterPressNews.

Mamuka Areshidze noted that in his opinion, the ongoing situation is in some ways a revenge of the forces, who were expelled by Khajimba from the “president's residence."

“What happened a few years ago, is repeatedly going on now, though current process is much more criminal than it was before - both are illegitimate, both look ridiculous, but in principle, it now has more criminal appearance. It all started with a clash between the clans a few months ago that resulted in the killing of two criminal bosses in Sokhumi. Later, their relatives with revanchist political forces did everything they have committed. Akhra Alitsba, a cousin of one of the deceased criminal bosses was the leader of yesterday’s developments,” Mamuka Areshidze said.

The political scientist noted that Akhra Alitsba is the former head of one of the squads, fighting in support of pro-Russia separatists in Donbass, a well-known marauder, who has been charged by the Ukrainian prosecutor's office.

“This person is now leading the protest rally and then - the rebels. In principle, this is a political-criminal coup in Abkhazia. The "Parliament" has practically decided not to support the "President", thus automatically supporting the opposition. It turns out that Khajimba's days are practically numbered, ”Areshidze said.

He also spoke about Russian and Georgian factors, too.

"The Russians view the current processes without any particular reaction, as the both sides are their supporters. Therefore, they are simply controlling the situation in order to avoid civil war, or the rest - which clan will head Abkhazia, does not mean anything, as all clans are loyal to Russia.

As for Georgia, nothing special is changing for it. No matter, who they are, the most important thing is what kind of plan do we have in order to change the situation in Abkhazia. I still don't see that kind of plan, to be honest, "the expert told InterPressNews.
